Analytics & Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: July 28, 2026

ContractorsFinder may use third-party analytics and advertising tools to understand site usage and measure marketing performance. This page discloses the categories of tools and data involved.

Analytics

Analytics tools help us understand aggregate patterns: which guides are read most, where visitors drop off in a multi-step tool, and which categories or searches are most common. Analytics data is generally used in aggregate and is not intended to identify individual visitors by name. Typical data points include: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location (typically city/region level, derived from IP address), and device/browser type.

Advertising and conversion measurement

If ContractorsFinder runs its own marketing campaigns (for example, search or social ads promoting guides or contractor sign-up), conversion-measurement tools may be used to understand whether an ad led to a visit or a completed action, such as a submitted quote request. Where contractor-facing advertising partners are involved, only aggregate or de-identified performance data is intended to be shared, not a homeowner's personal contact information, unless the homeowner submitted that information directly to a specific contractor as described in our Lead Distribution & Disclosure Page.

What we do not do

Categories of third parties that may be involved

Implementation note for the site owner: before launch, list the specific named vendors in use here (for example, a specific analytics platform), since visitors and regulators in some jurisdictions expect named-vendor transparency rather than only category-level disclosure.
