Consent & Tracking Technologies
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This page describes how ContractorsFinder requests consent for non-essential tracking, and what tracking technologies beyond standard cookies may be used on the site.
Our consent approach
On a visitor's first visit, ContractorsFinder is intended to present a consent notice before loading non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, in line with common frameworks such as the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where applicable to a visitor's region. Visitors can typically choose to accept all, reject non-essential categories, or open a preference center to choose by category (analytics, advertising/measurement).
Tracking technologies beyond cookies
- Pixels/web beacons: Small transparent images or scripts, sometimes used by analytics or advertising partners, that can indicate a page was viewed or an email was opened.
- Local storage: Browser-based storage similar to cookies, sometimes used to remember interface preferences without repeated server requests.
- Server-side logging: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) collected for security and performance monitoring, independent of cookies.
Your choices
- Use the cookie/tracking preference center (where available on the live site) to opt out of non-essential categories.
- Adjust browser settings to limit tracking, including "Do Not Track" or similar signals, which we aim to honor for non-essential tracking where technically supported.
- Contact us through our Contact page With questions about a specific tracking technology in use.
