ContractorsFinder aims to make this website usable by as many visitors as possible, including people who use screen readers, voice control, keyboard-only navigation, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the W3C. This is a widely used standard covering areas such as text alternatives for images, keyboard operability, color contrast, predictable navigation, and clear form labeling.

What we have implemented

• Descriptive Alt Text on informational images, diagrams, and charts
• Semantic heading structure (a single H1 per page, with nested H2/H3 sections) to support screen-reader navigation
• A consistent, keyboard-operable main navigation and footer across the site
• Text and background color combinations chosen for readable contrast
• Visible focus states on interactive elements for keyboard users
• Responsive layouts that support browser zoom and text resizing without loss of content

Known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checklist. Some older or third-party embedded content (such as external calculators or embedded documents) may not fully meet every WCAG 2.2 success criterion. We prioritize fixes based on severity and how many visitors are affected.

Feedback and reporting a barrier

If you encounter a barrier using this site with assistive technology, please tell us. Include the page URL, a description of the issue, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, if known, through our Contact page. We review accessibility reports as part of our Corrections & Updates Policy And prioritize fixes that block access to core content or tools.
